Former members

Priya Balasubramanian, PhD
Postdoctoral Research Associate, Feb 2016-Aug 2017

Priya focused on understanding adiponectin signaling in metabolism and aging using AdipoRon, a recently identified small molecule adiponectin receptor agonist. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oklahoma.

Karl Miller, PhD
Graduate Research Assistant, Sept 2011-Sept 2017

Karl’s research focused on cellular signaling pathways that mediate the effects of CR, with a particular focus on the master mitochondrial regulator PGC-1a. He is currently a postdoctoral associate at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in the lab of Peter Adams.

Porsha Howell, PhD
Graduate Research Assistant, Sept 2011-Jan 2018

Porsha focused on the intersection of growth and metabolism in the mechanisms of caloric restriction (CR) and other models of delayed aging. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University in the lab of Will Mair.
